Newcastle Beach Park
Bellevue's largest beach park, a 29-acre Lake Washington site with a sandy swim area, 300-foot dock and nature trail.
Newcastle Beach Park is a 29-acre park on Lake Washington in south Bellevue and the city's largest beach park. Its centerpiece is a sandy swimming beach with a roughly 300-foot dock extending into the lake.
The park is staffed with lifeguards from late June through Labor Day during the summer swim season and offers extensive picnic facilities, lawns and shade. A three-quarter-mile nature trail loop winds through wooded wetland habitat away from the shoreline.
Its combination of a large protected swim area, generous picnic space and easy lakefront access makes it one of the most heavily used summer destinations in Bellevue's parks system.
