Bellevue Downtown Park
Bellevue's signature 21-acre downtown park, ringed by a half-mile promenade, canal and waterfall around a 10-acre open lawn.
Bellevue Downtown Park is a 21-acre civic green space in the heart of downtown Bellevue. Its defining feature is a half-mile circular promenade lined with shade trees and a stepped canal that descends to a prominent waterfall cascading into a reflecting pond, enclosing a 10-acre central lawn with views of the Bellevue skyline and Mount Rainier.
The park includes the Inspiration Playground, a fully accessible play area designed to engage children of all abilities, along with a seasonal water spray playground that runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Formal gardens, more than 140 benches, public art, picnic tables and restrooms round out the amenities.
Built on land that once held Bellevue's first school and community college, the park has become the city's central gathering place, hosting festivals, concerts and civic events. It is open daily from half an hour before sunrise to 11 p.m. and offers public Wi-Fi.
