How it's built

01

Document everything

Towers, taquerias, trailheads, transit stops. If it has an address in Bellevue and a story worth telling, it earns an entry.

02

Public sources only

Facts are compiled from city records, Wikipedia, official venue sites, news reporting, and public maps — and cited where it counts.

03

Read fast, remember it

Heavy type, hard rules, oversized numbers. Every page is built to be skimmed in ten seconds and trusted in thirty.

04

Always growing

Bellevue is under construction — literally. Entries are added and corrected as towers top out and storefronts turn over.

The Slab system

The site is dressed in Slab — a heavy slab-serif brutalist design language. Thick black rules, hard square corners, printed offset shadows, and oversized mechanical numerals. The aesthetic of stamped industrial labels and freight signage: confident, grounded, and built to feel like it has mass. No soft shadows, no rounded corners, one signal color of industrial vermilion.
