Mixed-use towers (proposed) · Downtown
The Bellevue
Kemper Development's proposed three-tower, up-to-24-story mixed-use expansion of The Bellevue Collection at Bellevue Square.
The Bellevue is a proposed mixed-use expansion of The Bellevue Collection by Kemper Development Company, planned for the southeast corner of Bellevue Square at 401 Bellevue Way NE. A 2023 revision reduced the project from an earlier four-tower plan to three towers of up to 24 stories, staggered in height to transition between the adjacent park and the downtown core.
The revised proposal includes about 154 residential units, roughly 150 hotel rooms, approximately 281,000 square feet of retail across three floors, a wellness and spa resort, and around 1,780 underground parking stalls. The 3.6-acre site currently holds a parking area in front of the Macy's department store.
If built, The Bellevue would add up to 1.8 million square feet of mixed-use space and connect directly to the existing shopping center, extending Kemper Freeman's multi-decade build-out of Downtown Bellevue's retail core.
