Soma Towers
Asymmetrical 18- and 21-story residential towers with ground-floor retail, designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson.
Soma Towers is a mixed-use residential development in Downtown Bellevue consisting of asymmetrical 18- and 21-story towers, with the first tower completed in 2014 and the second following later in the decade. Together the towers hold roughly 273 one- and two-bedroom apartments above about 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space.
The project was developed by John Su, an engineer-turned-developer, in collaboration with the noted architecture firm Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, with structural work by DCI Engineers. Its sculptural, angled massing and a large public plaza distinguish it among downtown's residential high-rises.
Located near 106th Avenue NE just north of the downtown retail core, Soma Towers is managed by Greystar and has become a recognizable contemporary landmark on the northern edge of the Bellevue skyline.
