City Center East
A 26-story, 360-foot office tower completed in 2009 next to the Bellevue Transit Center, long fully leased by Microsoft.
City Center East, also known as City Center Plaza, is a 26-story, 360-foot office skyscraper completed in 2009 adjacent to the Bellevue Transit Center. It sits beside its older sister building, City Center Bellevue, which dates to 1986.
The tower was originally proposed as a 34-story, 450-foot building before being downsized in 2005. For more than a decade it was leased in its entirety by Microsoft, which based its Bing search and various AI teams there until departing in 2023.
The building has changed hands several times among institutional owners, including Beacon Capital Partners, Cole Real Estate Investments and CommonWealth Partners, the latter paying roughly $347.7 million in 2012.
