Bellevue Towers
Twin 42- and 43-story condo towers at 450 feet, completed in 2009, the largest LEED Gold residential development in the Pacific Northwest.
Bellevue Towers is a two-tower high-rise condominium complex in Downtown Bellevue, with towers of 42 and 43 stories reaching approximately 450 feet. Construction began in 2006 and the $436 million project was completed in 2009, developed by Gerding Edlen and built by Hoffman Construction Company.
The complex contains 539 condominium units, about 17,000 square feet of retail, and eight levels of underground parking. Designed by GBD Architects, it was the largest LEED Gold certified residential development in the Pacific Northwest, with an energy-efficient glass facade, low-flow plumbing, dual-flush toilets, a rooftop garden between the towers, and high-efficiency boilers.
Opening during the 2008-2009 financial crisis, Bellevue Towers initially struggled with sales and the developer ultimately turned the project over to its lenders, but it has since become an established luxury residential landmark on the western edge of downtown.
