Microsoft Store Bellevue Square (closed)
Former Microsoft retail store at Bellevue Square, since closed as part of Microsoft's exit from physical retail.
The Microsoft Store at Bellevue Square was a company-operated retail location for the Redmond-based software giant, opened in the home market just across Lake Sammamish from Microsoft's headquarters. When it opened it was notably larger than Apple's then-current store in the mall, prompting Apple to relocate to a bigger second-floor space.
Microsoft announced in 2020 that it would permanently close its physical retail stores worldwide and shift to online sales, and the Bellevue Square location closed as part of that decision.
The store is included here as a notable former anchor-style tenant whose presence and closure shaped the competitive tech-retail dynamic inside Bellevue Square.
