Weowna Park

A 93-acre forested park above Lake Sammamish where Phantom Creek tumbles through a deep ravine in remnant old-growth forest.

Acreage

Weowna Park is a roughly 93-acre forested open-space park on the hillside above Lake Sammamish in eastern Bellevue. Its trails pass through towering stands of remnant old-growth forest with views toward Lake Sammamish and the Cascade Mountains.

Phantom Creek descends through the park to Lake Sammamish, carving a deep ravine and forming a series of small waterfalls and pools. The creek has been restored using bio-engineering techniques to stabilize its banks and improve fish habitat.

The park completes a major link in Bellevue's Lake to Lake Trail system and offers several trail options, making it a prized natural area for hikers seeking quiet forest within the city.
