Eastgate
A south Bellevue neighborhood along I-90 home to Bellevue College, a major park-and-ride, and a mix of housing and offices.
Eastgate lies in south Bellevue along the Interstate 90 corridor and is grouped with neighboring Factoria as one of the city's combined neighborhood areas, together encompassing roughly 3.5 square miles. The neighborhood mixes single-family housing, apartments, office parks, and major institutions on the slopes south of the freeway.
Eastgate is anchored by Bellevue College, the largest of Washington's community and technical colleges, which draws students from across the Eastside. The Eastgate Park and Ride is one of the busiest transit hubs in the area, funneling commuters onto express buses across the I-90 floating bridge into Seattle.
The neighborhood's families are drawn in part by access to Bellevue's top-rated schools, including nearby Newport High School. Its position at the gateway between Bellevue, Issaquah, and the I-90 corridor gives Eastgate a strongly transit- and freeway-oriented character.
