Piloti
A permanent perforated-canopy sculpture by Marc Fornes/THEVERYMANY marking the Bellevue Way entrance to Downtown Park, opened in 2023.
Piloti is a permanent public artwork by artist Marc Fornes and his studio THEVERYMANY, installed at a new entrance to Bellevue Downtown Park at Bellevue Way NE and NE 4th Street. The work consists of fluted columns that rise and merge to form an artistic canopy, with perforations that filter daylight onto the plaza below.
Commissioned through the City of Bellevue's public-art program, Piloti opened to the public in May 2023 as part of the ongoing enhancement of Downtown Park's edges and entrances.
The piece has become a recognizable landmark at the park's gateway and a frequent stop on Bellevue's downtown public-art walk, complementing the rotating Bellwether sculpture exhibition nearby.
