Crossroads Bellevue

Crossroads Bellevue is a community-oriented shopping center in the Crossroads neighborhood of east Bellevue. It opened in 1962, and by the time current ownership took over in 1985 it was largely vacant and considered a failed conventional mall.

A major late-1990s and early-2000s renovation repositioned Crossroads away from department-store retail and toward a community gathering place. The center became known for its multicultural international food court, a public performance stage with live weekend music, vintage children's rides, a giant public chess board, a Bellevue Library branch and a city Mini City Hall.

Today the center mixes everyday retail and services with entertainment, including an eight-screen cinema, a rock-climbing gym and a weekly farmers market. Anchor and major tenants have included Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, a QFC grocery store, and around 30 international restaurants, giving Crossroads a distinctly local, neighborhood-centered character.
