Monsoon Bellevue
Sibling restaurateurs Sophie and Eric Banh's contemporary Vietnamese restaurant on Main Street, opened in 2008.
Monsoon Bellevue is the Eastside outpost of the acclaimed Monsoon restaurant founded by siblings Sophie and Eric Banh, who opened the original Monsoon on Seattle's Capitol Hill in 1999. The Bellevue location, sometimes called Monsoon East, opened in December 2008 on Main Street in Old Bellevue.
The kitchen blends traditional Vietnamese cooking with Pacific Northwest ingredients and technique, serving dishes from clay-pot catfish to drunken chicken in an elegant, modern dining room. It is widely credited with helping bring elevated, contemporary Vietnamese cuisine to the region.
The restaurant offers free parking in the Courtyard Off Main garage and sits within the walkable Old Bellevue boutique district.
