Eastside Heritage Center
Nonprofit preserving Eastside history, with 30,000+ artifacts, formed from two earlier historical societies in 2001.
The Eastside Heritage Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Bellevue and the greater Eastside. It was formed in 2001 through the merger of the Bellevue Historical Society (established 1986) and the Marymoor Museum of Eastside History (established 1965).
The center stewards a collection of more than 30,000 artifacts, along with thousands of historic photographs and extensive archival materials documenting the region's pioneer, agricultural and suburban eras. It has historically been associated with the historic Winters House on Bellevue Way SE.
Without a permanent public museum space in recent years, the center operates largely by appointment as a research resource while mounting temporary exhibits and offering educational programs and community events across the Eastside.
